Judith “Judy” Faye Likins, 70, of Rowlesburg died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Preston Memorial Hospital with loving family by her side.
She was born March 25, 1949, in Rowlesburg, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Rosella Hartsell Goff.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her role as a mother, grandmother and homemaker above all she was a good friend. Judy dedicated her life to helping her family and friends and that was what brought her great fulfillment. She will be deeply missed by her family, extended family and all her many friends. Throughout her life she devoted countless hours to many organizations, she served as a previous member to the Rowlesburg Volunteer Fire Department, Rowlesburg Ambulance Squad, Town Council and the Historical Society.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lori Sisler and Kimberly Mayne and husband, Jim all of Rowlesburg; her son, Phillip “JR” Likins and wife, Jaunetta of Kingwood; seven grandchildren, Heather and Kayla Sisler; Taylor and Alex Mayne; Jacob, Macy and Phillip Likins; her brother, Robert “Bobby” Goff and companion; and best friend, Elizabeth “Peggy” Helmick; two special cousins, Bob and Donnie Shaffer, whom she enjoyed visiting daily.
Judy was also preceded in death by her husband, Phillip A. Likins whom she lost in 1977; her companion of over 20 years, Edward “Jake” Hershman whom she lost in 2001; her sisters, Mary Virginia “Honey” Howdershelt and Patricia “Pat” Likens and her brothers, Richard “Dick” Goff and Terry Goff.
Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Home in Rowlesburg on Saturday April 13, from 4-8 pm and on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 11am till 2 pm the funeral hour with Pastor Kevin Keplinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Sanders Hill Cemetery.
