Warren Allen Hare, 74 of Rowlesburg, died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at home with loving family by his side.
He was born February 8, 1944, in Kingwood, a son of the late Warren G. and Jacquelin Miller Hare.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He graduated from Rowlesburg High School, Class of 1962, was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Rowlesburg Lions Club, Preston Country Club and a member and trustee of the Mud Splash Hunting Club. He worked as a Welder and Iron Worker for Local 568 Iron Workers Union and Greer Industries. He was a 50 year member, a 32 degree Mason and Past Master of Rowlesburg Lodge #165, AF & AM and a member of the Osiris Shrine in Wheeling. He enjoyed hunting deer with his son, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Warren A. Hare II of Tunnelton; his daughter, Sherry Renee Hare and a brother, Robert Hare and wife, Roxanne, all of Rowlesburg and four grandchildren, Jada Renee Sharps, Luke, Lane and Taylor Hare.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Shirley A. Lantz Hare and his brother, John Hare.
The family will receive friends at Burke Funeral Home in Rowlesburg on Wednesday, November 28 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. On Thursday, November 29, 2018 Mr. Hare will be moved to the Christ United Methodist Church in Rowlesburg to lie in repose from 12 noon till 1pm the funeral hour with Pastor Kevin Keplinger officiating. A masonic graveside service will be conducted by the Rowlesburg Lodge # 165, AF & AM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
